Landscape 20 falls into the Sandy clay loam textural class. This is particularly beneficial as it allows the soil to both retain valuable water and essential nutrients in the drier summer months whilst remaining free draining, friable and easy to use in the winter months.
Produced from naturally fertile prime arable soils Landscape 20 is rich in organic matter with high levels of microbial activity making it an excellent choice for a wide variety of planting applications including/especially trees, shrubs, grass seeding and turfing.
As well as general planting and landscaping projects this high quality topsoil can also be used with confidence in the following areas:
Construction and new build housing
Landscape 20 is rigorously checked for contamination and meets CLEA guidelines (Contaminated Land Exposure Assessment) so you can be sure that this topsoil is safe for residential use and projects where NHBC approved materials are required.
Sports pitch construction and golf courses
As a natural sandy loam this high quality material has been used effectively for many years in the construction of Sports pitches across the UK.
Because this loam is very easy to work with it is particularly well suited to sculpting bunds and consolidating shapes on golf courses. This coupled with its fertility, and free draining nature ensures quick establishment and good growth rates on the course.
This material is always kept undercover so in the winter months when some topsoil’s become difficult to apply and sometimes difficult to even get hold of, this quality topsoil remains consistent, easy to use and always available.
Fully compliant with BS3882:2007 and NHBC guidelines. This natural topsoil is the perfect choice for residential new builds and a wealth of horticultural planting applications.
