General

In these conditions of sale:

  • The company means Woodfield’s. Mr Arthur Woodfield T/A Woodfields

  • The customer means any person contracting with the company for the supply of products or services.

  • Delivery means delivery by the company or any hauler employed by the company directly or indirectly.

  • Submission of an order online will be taken as agreement to these conditions of sale.

  • The Authorised representative is Mr Arthur Woodfield

  • All payments are processed securely via Stripe or PayPal

 

 

Supply of Products

Except as stated in writing by the company, no condition or warranty is given or implied by law, custom, usage or otherwise as to the quality or fitness for any purpose of the goods sold by the company.

Many of the products supplied by the company are naturally occurring. These products are sold under the express understanding of the following:

  • Turf: Turf is a growing crop and therefore an ever changing product and perishable, and must be properly laid on properly prepared topsoil. Once delivered, turf must be rolled out and laid within 2 hours and must be kept well watered.

  • Bark chips: Bark is delivered by measurement (cubic metre) not weight. Due to the nature of the product a degree of settlement may occur.

  • Soils: The customer understands that ungraded and unscreened soils may contain foreign objects and debris because the product has not been through any screening process.

  • Stones: Stones may have slight variations in colour, size and content. Individual stones may be broken or misshaped. Sizes are approximate and can vary.

All items (however delivered) shall be at the customers risk from the time of collection (if so collected) or from the time of delivery. After such time the company shall be under no liability for loss, damage or deterioration of items from whatever cause arising.

Tonne bags are non returnable and should only be used once.

Any quantities given by the company are approximate but every effort will taken to supplying the correct amounts.

The company accepts no responsibility for any miscalculation in quantity.

Woodfields reserve the right to supply products from third party suppliers where appropriate, We will also strive to supply a similar high quality product,however branding / bag colour etc may be different than pictured on this website.

 

Complaints

The company require any complaint to be made in writing by the customer within 48 hours of collection or delivery.

If the customer is dissatisfied with the product then it must be returned to the company within 5 working days after the complaint has been logged. A refund will then be made for the original purchase price , Minus the original shipping costs.

Returns

If for any reason you wish to return your goods within 14 days from the date of delivery please notify us immediatly (or as soon as possible) , and you will be given instruction on how to return the item. All postage costs needs to be paid for by the customer. We have a no quibble policy and will make returning your goods as easy as possible.

Prices and payment

All prices quoted by the company for the sale of products online include the cost of delivery to the postcode entered by the customer, unless stated otherwise.

Prices quoted are all inclusive of VAT, unless stated otherwise.

Customers are required to pay by credit or debit card at the time of ordering, or cash or cheque upon delivery.

Credit Cards are charged at 2% , we apologise for any inconvenience caused , however this a charge levied by the banks and not by Woodfields.

We reserve the right to cancel any order that occurs due to miss pricing of the website 

Delivery

Delivery is subject to availability.

Our standard delivery is based on 2-5 working days (Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays). Saturday delivery is available, at a charge, please call for further information.

Customers outside our local (Midlands) delivery area will have their order delivered by Palletways. This will be a kerbside delivery. The products will arrive on pallets on a tail lift wagon. The driver will lower the goods off the rear of the wagon, and use a pallet truck to deposit them as near to the property as possible.

The pallet truck can only run on a solid level surface such as concrete or Tarmac and cannot move on uneven surfaces such as gravel, grass or slopes.

In some areas of the UK, it the customer’s responsibility to obtain a permit from the local council to have bulk bags left on the kerbside.

The company will make every effort to deliver products ordered on the agreed date, but, if for any reason the company is unable to deliver then no liability will fall to the company; whether in damages or otherwise, for delay of whole or any part of the goods ordered arising from any cause whatsoever.

Delivery by the company shall be conditional upon access free from encumbrances and good roads being available to the company’s vehicles to the place of delivery. The delivery vehicles will not drive across fields or unmade roads.

It is the customer’s responsibility to inform the company if there may be an access problems. If the company or its agent cannot gain access to the delivery address then additional costs will be incurred and shall ultimately fall to the customer.

In such cases that delivery, in the opinion of the company is not possible, then the company reserves the right to cancel the order.and refund given will be minus original shipping charges.

The company will not accept any liability for damages to property caused during delivery.

The customer, or somebody appointed by the customer, should be at the delivery point to accept the delivery.

 

Company’s Premises

The company accepts no responsibility for injury or damage caused to persons or equipment whilst on company premises.

 

Cancellation and charges

  1. Before dispatch: A refund will be credited to your account, Less an administration charge if applicable

  2. After dispatch: A refund will be credited to your account, less haulage charges incurred.

  3. Bulk orders*, up to 24hrs prior to delivery: A refund will be credited to your account, less an administration charge of £20.00

  4. Bulk orders*, after the delivery vehicle has left the premises on route to your delivery point: A refund will be credited to your account, less haulage charges incurred. (This amount will differ depending on the size of load which has been ordered and depending on the distance the vehicle has travelled.)

  5. Bulk orders*, after the delivery has already been made, within 7 working days of delivery: It will be your own responsibility to return the goods to the company. A refund will be credited to your account once the goods have been returned to the company, at your cost, as per the Distance Selling Regulations.

  6.  Non Deliverable Goods : If for any reason goods are undelivered (nobody at home , unable to access the property , unable to drop in a safe location , Incorrect Address etc) Then Woodfields will not re-deliver until the total costs of re-delivery has been covered by the customer . This is approx £30-£50 dependent on the location and number of pallets being delivered.

  7. These conditions and any contract or variation are governed by the law of England.
